ABOUT THE CURATOR

Andrea Arroyo is an award-winning artist with an extensive trajectory, she works in a variety of media, including painting, installation, illustration and public art.

Her artwork focuses on women's issues and social justice and is exhibited and collected internationally and has been published widely (Including The New Yorker & The New York Times.)

Ms. Arroyo is also a curator, speaker and cultural activist.

Andrea Arroyo is co-curator of OppArt, The Nation Magazine.

​

Ms. Arroyo is also the curator of "Tribute to the Disappeared," and ongoing art project in honor of the 30,000 people disappeared in Mexico (from the Women of Juarez to the Students of Ayotzinapa) and other victims of injustice around the world. Tribute to the Disappeared featrues over 350 international artists and has been exhibited and reviewed extensively since 2014.
