PARTICIPATION GUIDELINES

 

THEME: Works MUST relate to the 2016 US Presidential Election and its impact on social justice, race/gender issues, human rights, economic justice, the environment international relations, etc.
- I am especially interested in including works about facing impending challenges, and reconstruction.
- Note: Images that mock Mr. or Mrs. Trump's physical appearance exclusively will not be considered, but works that use physical attributes to make a point will be considered.

TERMS:
- All interpretations and all media will be considered. 
- All works will be published online, formatted to a square canvas, to form a mosaic of hundreds of images. 
- Works may be printed to be part of physical exhibitions.
- RIGHTS: Artists keep copyright and original work. By submitting their work, artists agree to allow their accepted images to be used for this project (online and physical exhibits, project promotion, possibly a book), for non-commercial purposes, without financial compensation.
- This is an independent project, there is no funding and no affiliations with any organizations.

2-STEP SUBMISSION PROCESS:
1) Each artist can submit up to 5 works using this SUBMISSION FORM*.
2) In addition to filling out this form, email all works to: unnaturalelection@gmail.com with the subject "Last Name - UE Submission". Also send the following information in the body of the email: artist, title, year, media, country of birth/residency, email, website, and social media (if available). *PLEASE SUBMIT A SEPARATE FORM FOR EACH WORK.

FORMATTING:
- FILENAMES: All file names must be formatted: FirstnameLastname_Title_Media_Country(birth/residency).jpg (ex: "NancySmith_Hope_Oil on canvas_Canada/USA.jpg")
- IMAGES: Send a high-resolution jpg that is 300dpi and 8” on largest side. 
- VIDEO: Send video as a .mov file (preferred, Max 50mb) or link to youtube, AND send a still image to be printed for exhibition. Include all credits in submission form and email.
- TEXT: Send as word doc. of max 200 words or as an image (all texts will be shown as images).

DEADLINE:
ONGOING, early submissions appreciated. The sooner you submit, the sooner artwork will be considered for the website, exhibits, and book.

ESPAñOL - INTRUCCIONES PARA PARTICIPAR:
Se aceptan obras nuevas y existentes de artistas y "no-artistas".
TEMA: Los trabajos deben relacionarse con la elección presidencial del 2016 en Estado Unidos, y su impacto en la justicia social. Temas de raza/género, derechos humanos, justicia económica, medio ambiente, relaciones internacionales.
Todas las interpretaciones serán consideradas, si tu obra lo necesita por favor envía una breve explicación (un par de líneas).
Nota: No se aceptan trabajos que hagan mofa de las características físicas de Sr./Sra Trump exclusivamente (las obras que utilicen este aspecto para abordar un concepto social o político sí serán consideradas).
TECNICA: Se aceptan todas las técnicas, inlcuyendo dibujo, pintura, ilustración, photo, diseño, collage, performance, video, bordado, literatura, etc.)
 

EL PROCEDIMIENTO CONSISTE EN 2 PASOS
1) Los artistas pueden enviar hasta 5 obras, utilizando esta  SOLICITUD*.
2) Además de llenar la solicitud en línea, favor de enviar las imágenes (etiquetadas y formateadas como se indica abajo) por correo electrónico a: unnaturalelection@gmail.com . También envíe la siguiente información en el email: Artista, título, año, técnica, país (nacimiento/residencia), email, website y facebook/twitter/instagram (si los tiene). Se deberá llenar una forma en línea por cada obra de arte.

FORMATO:

IMAGENES: Envíe imágenes JPG en alta resolución (300dpi, 8 pulgadas del lado más largo). La etiqueta de la imagen debe incluír Nombre_título_técnica_país (nacimiento/residencia).jpg, por ejemplo: "Nancy Smith_Hope_Oil on canvas_Canada/US.jpg". También envíe la siguiente información el el email: Nombre, título, año, técnica, país (nacimiento/residencia), Facebook, email and webpage (si lo tiene).
VIDEO: Archivos en formato .mov (preferido, máximo 50mb) o link a youtube, incluya todos los créditos correspondientes.
TEXT: Documento Word. max 200 palabras. La etiqueta del documento debe incluír Nombre_título_país (nacimiento/residencia).doc, por ejemplo: "Nancy Smith_Hope_Canada/US.doc". (los textos se mostrarán como imágenes).
EMAIL: Envíe las obras a: unnaturalelection(at)gmail(dot)com
FECHA LIMITE: CONTINUA, Cuanto antes mejor (las obras serán consideradas para las exhibiciones, website y libro).
NOTA: Los artistas conservan el arte original y los derechos de autor. Al enviar sus obras acuerdan permitir el uso de sus imágenes para este proyecto (exhibiciones virtuales y físicas, promoción y libro), para uso no comercial.

Las obras se publicarán regularmente en la página de Facebook y el website.

PARTICIPEZ ! Les artistes gardent le droit d'auteur et l'œuvre originale, et permettent l'utilisation de leurs images pour ce projet d'art (uniquement à des fins non commerciales.)

 Instructions pour participer : Sont acceptées les œuvres neuves et existants des artistes et “non artistes”.

Elles sont toutes acceptées, incluant dessins, peintures, illustrations, photos, designs, collages, performances, vidéos, tricots, littérature, etc.

Les travaux doivent avoir une relation avec l’élection présidentielle du 2016 aux États-Unis et son impact (réel ou perçu). Espoir, désolation, rage, action ; l’impact par rapport à la justice sociale, l’origine, le genre, les droits de l'homme, la justice économique, les relations internationales. Toutes les interprétations littérales ou abstraites sont acceptées (l’utilisation des caractéristiques physiques de Mme ou M. Trump est seulement acceptée si elles sont utilisées pour expliquer un concept, mais pas pour se moquer des caractéristiques physiques elles-mêmes). Les œuvres feront partie d’une mosaïque virtuelle. Les artistes peuvent envoyer jusqu’à 5 œuvres.
